WHAT ARE THE MAIN CONTROLS OF AN AIRCRAFT? AND WHAT ARE THEIR USES?

THERE ARE THREE MAIN CONTROLS OF AN AIRCRAFT :

1) THROTTLE

2)RUDDER PEDALS

3)CONTROL COLUMN

THEIR RESPECTIVE FUNCTIONS ARE VIZ,

1)THROTTLE:

IT IS OFTEN CALLED AS SPEED CONTROL OR THRUST CONTROL. IT CONTROLS THE AMOUNT OF FUEL GOING INTO THE ENGINE OR COMBUSTION CHAMBER WHICH IN TURN AFFECTS THE SPEED/THRUST OF AN AIRCRAFT. UNLIKE OTHER TRANSPORTATION VEHICLES A PERCENTAGE SYSTEM IS USED IN THROTTLE ENGAGEMENT. LIKE 20% THROTTLE ENGAGED OR 80% THROTTLE ENGAGED. WHICH LOOKS LIKE A GEAR LEVER IN CARS. IT IS PLACED BETWEEN THE SEATS OF BOTH THE PILOT AND CO-PILOT.

2)RUDDER PEDALS:

JUST LIKE ITS NAME, THESE ARE PEDALS SITUATED UNDER THE SEATS OF BOTH THE PILOTS, WHICH ARE QUITE DIFFERENT FROM THE PEDALS FROM USED IN CARS, THE PEDALS HERE WORK LIKE A SEE-SAW SYSTEM. THEIR FUNCTION IS TO CONTROL THE RUDDER PLACED ON THE VERTICAL STABILIZER OF THE TAIL. WHICH IS USED TO YAW THE PLANE. JUST LIKE IT WORKS IN A BOAT, OR A CAR IF FRONT WHEELS WERE FIXED STRAIGHT AND REAR WHEELS WERE USED TO TURN THE CAR.

3)CONTROL COLUMN:

THIS IS THE ONLY VERSATILE CONTROL AMONG THESE, BECAUSE IT CONTROLS BOTH THE AILERONS AS WELL AS THE ELEVATORS. THE AILERONS ARE SITUATED ON THE TIP OF BOTH THE WINGS AND THE ELEVATORS ARE SITUATED ON THE TAIL. THE CONTROL COLUMN LOOKS SIMILAR TO A STEERING WHEEL. WHEN IT IS TURNED RIGHT OR LEFT LIKE A STEERING WHEEL THE AILERONS ON BOTH THE WINGS ALTERNATLY RAISED UP AND DOWN RESPECTIVELY WHILE RAISING ONE SIDE AND LOWERING ONE SIDE, WHICH CAUSES THE PLANE TO ROLL. ALSO, WHEN THE CONTROL COLUMN IS PULLED BACKWARDS THE ELEVATORS ARE RAISED, PUSHING THE TAIL DOWNWARDS AND THE NOSE UPWARDS, AND JUST OPPOSITE WHEN THE CONTROL COLUMN IS PUSHED AWAY. THIS FUNCTION IS USED IN PITCHING UP OR DOWN.

SO THESE WERE SOME MAJOR CONTROLS OF AN AIRPLANE. I REGULARLY POST BLOGS HERE ON AVIATION. MY BLOGSPOT : https://tanishqvadnere.blogspot.com :)
